Corey Taylor wins Band to Band Combat. Beating the band Black Tide. Tune in

APOCALYPTICA’s new video for the song “I’m Not Jesus”, featuring a guest appearance by Corey Taylor (SLIPKNOT, STONE SOUR), has been posted at YouTube. The clip was filmed in in Los Angeles with director Tony Petrossian (AVENGED SEVENFOLD, RISE AGAINST, SLIPKNOT). “I’m Not Jesus” comes off the Finnish cello-rockers’ new album, “Worlds Collide”, due in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on September 14 via G.U.N. Records. The “I’m Not Jesus” single will precede the album on August 31. Other confirmed guest musicians on the CD include Dave Lombardo (SLAYER), Tomoyasu Hotei (superstar Japanese composer, whose credits include the “Kill Bill” soundtrack), Joseph Duplantier (GOJIRA) and Cristina Scabbia (LACUNA COIL). Backing vocals for the effort were laid down by Swedish singer Mats Levén (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, THERION, KRUX, TREAT, AT VANCE). (Thanks: Miguel)

Damn, it happened again last night. Black Tide comes in out of no where and commands to heard on Band To Band Combat. Check out how old these kids are. It is amazing that these little dudes sound awefully close to Motley Crue. They really do. You don’t believe me? Listen at nine tonight. Let’s just see if these little dudes have it.  Alright ladies and gentleman, Here is the deal with your local band. Maybe you are in one. Maybe you know someone in a band. You have seen a really good band here in Oklahoma City and you think to yourself , wow, these guys are really good. They should be on band to band combat on the KATT?  

 I have heard the call for something of a Local Band to Band Combat for a while now. Time to act. Let me tell you of a place where local bands can feature that “one song”, that ”one song” that they have worked on over and over. ”That one song” they think will dominate for a week over any and all competition and claim the title of “Local Band To Band Combat Champion”.

 I have the opportunity to feature two bands once a week in a no holds barred LOCAL BAND TO BAND COMBAT!!!!

 I know sounds exciting right? Here’s the deal get me a cd with that ”one song” designated to be played. It has to be radio friendly (IE. no expletives), with a photo of the band and bio. Just as you would submit music for the Local Talent Show, is the same way I am doing this deal.

 So you have your mission, Get me a song with the aformentioned info and We will just battle it out week after week with local rock submitted by you the people that make going to bars enjoyable, THE LOCAL MUSICIANS. Death to Kareoke. For those that think it works…………………………………………… It doesn’t.

Horse called War is still our Local Band To Band Combat Champion, in the meantime, while we listen to the many submissions of local acts, Stonesour has defeated ZO-2 in Band to Band…….Listen weeknights @ 9pm, and we will just see how they fare in the madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
