Alice In Wonderland Stills

Another Tim Burton film on the horizon!!!! This time it’s a re-make of a classic. The concept LOOKS GREAT!!! I think the other Tim Burton films represent the darker side just a bit better than other directors. I do hope that Depp plays a psycho Mad Hatter!! Not sure any of the other details, I just wanted to bring the pics to the old blog here. So enjoy:

I think Adam Jones and Company could do a comparable job, but the screen shots of the Wonderland are kind of disturbing. But, again, I am a fan of Tim Burton films.

2008 Caduceus, Dos Ladrones. 50% Arizona Malvasia Bianca, 50% Arizona Chardonnay. $39.99.
175 cases produced.

CHECK OUT TOOLBAND.COM FOR MORE INFO ABOUT THE NEW WINE. OR CADUCEUS.ORG TO BUY.I have had the Chupacabre (i hope that’s it) and the Primer Paso (again I hope that’s it). The Chupacabre was somewhat bold, however that is the way I like my reds. I want to say that the Primer was a mixture of two of Mjk’s creations. I had the Primer Paso after KATTFEST like three years ago, so my analysis might be distorted. From what I remember, it was a good wine. I wanted more, not just because it’s mjk’s but it WAS tasty. Go drink them for yourself I think you will truely will enjoy. Maybe with a nice cut of beef or fish.

KILLER GANDHI @ SHENANIGAN’S

Hi friends,

Some of you know that I play drums for the band Killer Gandhi. And, we are playing the great Shenanigan’s this coming Friday. I invite everyone out for a night of Miller High Life and Rock!!!

From Blair at TOOLBAND.COM (Tool Tour News and Mandala info.)

High KATT/TOOL Fans,
It’s Tony Z. Despite the flat/generic Aprils Fool’s Day joke, which has become somewhat of an annual thing, there are two confirmed dates for a Tool Summer Tour.

I find it ridiculous, that Tool mocks radio as they do. The very thing that helped purchase things such as the fine grapes MJK desires to make his vino, the bookstore owned by Justin,  and the Lamborghini Danny drives around in Hollywood. “Buy our records”

Hey, let’s mock radio, the very entity that even gives a sh*t to play your records. The very entity that encourages people to come to your shows, the very entity that keeps your TOOL machine running. But hey…… whatever. You are rockstars, you can do whatever you want (with a hint of sarcasm, I digress). I understand that Tool has achieved the status that they have and that they deserve every accolade that comes their way, but really? Really do ya have to knock radio. It’s the last free thing that your fans can relate to. That is unless they are catering to pay radio fans. On that note Tool fans, here are some excerpts from Blair at Toolband.com:

TOOL SUMMER TOUR - TWO CONFIRMED DATES

Jul 18 2009 - Mile High Music Festival - Commerce City, CO, USA

Aug 01 2009 - Liberty State Park - Jersey City, NJ

These two shows have been confirmed, with more to follow. I’ve been told that there will be ToolArmy pre-sales, but haven’t received the details yet. As soon as more dates are confirmed, they will be posted, along with the pre-sale information.

Tickets on sale: April 6

MANDALA UPDATE

Musicians, here’s a MANDALA program update from Vince De Franco: “This new Virtual Brain v1.5 update is a direct response to user requests to make the program easier for people configuring and playing multiple Mandalas. Now the Main window shows and lets you configure up to 5 pads. The graphics have also been updated to light up which zone you are hitting as you play as well as the exact strike ring position.” More info HERE. Did you get all that?

Oh no they didn’t…..Oh yes they did, I need them.

Some of you may know that I am an avid wearer of the finest shoes known to man, Converse’s Chuck Taylor’s. These shoes have become a cornerstone of my being, well maybe not that much but these shoes deliver the versitilty and ruggedness that one Tony Z desires and craves. I know it sounds like Im describing a past late night rendevous, not the case. The fact of the matter is that Chucks rock. I just recently retired a pair that I have had and worn relilgiously for eight or nine years. Don’t believe a shoe made entirely of canvas clothe and rubber could withstand being drenched in pissed filled River water from the Illinois River in Talequah? Or that shoe could hold up to the rigors of drinking entirely too much and walking the streets of Austin Texas during South By Southwest. Or even that the shoe could withstand the bathroom floors of many drinking establishments. Who knew? These Chucks carried me to many of those bars and events with outstanding results:

Well now that I have had my elder Chucks retired, Amy bought me some new ones. Same style and color (low cut and black) I have found more and more respect for ever resilient Chuck Taylors. And just today I read about the new line of Chucks that feature some very prominent names in rock emblazzened right on the sides. I think you will like these, I know I already do.

PUSCIFER VEGAS SHOW PICS

Reginald has a new book he wants you to read.

Hello friends, According to The Pulse of Radio Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu the bass player from the band Korn has worked with Laura Morton on his upcoming memoir.  If this book is like all the other rockstar memoirs we’ve been forced to read over the countless years, it should be jammed packed full of stories about groupies, pounds of weed, and mountains of powder. “Got The Life: My Journey Of Addiction, Faith, Recovery and Korn”, details his conversion to Christianity after years of drugs, booze and hard partying. A description of the book at its Amazon.com page reads in part, “By all appearances, Fieldy had the life. But he was on the dark path of excess, alienating friends, families, and loved ones, nearly destroying himself and the band. It took an unexpected tragedy to straighten him out: the death of his father, a born-again Christian, to a mysterious illness. Following his father’s dying wish, Fieldy found God. Filled with the spirit of his new faith, Fieldy quit drugs and drinking cold turkey, and found the best part of himself.”

“Got The Life” is due to be published on March 10.

Look at the cover. This guy hanging on a cross, really?
