When we started playing “Better” some… year ago, I thought to myself “Wow, This isn’t really that bad a song, at all”. Well, a few months into playing “Better”, “the record people” aka. Axl, told us we couldn’t play it. So, the KATT stopped. Now, after hearing that Bestbuy have stepped up and announced they will release Chinese Democracy November 23rd. It goes without saying that you guys have decided that Guns N Roses is your new Combat Champion. GO BESTBUY!!! It is funny to me that we haven’t heard one thing, as far as, advertising, a word from Axl himself or a ”kiss my ass America here’s my record” go buy it. Nothing. But whatever, you people like it. This is what I read today on Blabbermouth.net. I think a Vegas trip is in my future very, very soon. February in Vegas! Whoo hoo!!!
The Pulse of Radio reports that TOOL frontman Maynard James Keenan is putting together a cabaret-style show for a string of dates at The Palms in Las Vegas, beginning in mid-February. According to an inside source, the shows will feature both comedy and music. Keenan is not a stranger to this kind of gig — he told The Pulse of Radio that his side band PUSCIFER (see video below) actually evolved out of a similar type of show he used to do in his pre-TOOL days in Hollywood. “Generally started off as a name that I was attaching to some of the comedy things I was doing with (comedian) Laura Milligan at this club called Tantrum which existed in the Diamond Club on Hollywood and La Brea,” he said. “(We’d) have a variety show, lots of talent coming through there just kind of trying out their new stuff. So PUSCIFER was kind of like the band that would kind of close the show.”
Milligan is a comedian and actress seen on “Mr. Show” and more recently in “Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny”. Several performers from both projects used to work on the same gigs as Keenan.
Keenan’s Vegas act will reportedly incorporate both friends and outside musicians to perform some music from PUSCIFER and other material.
PUSCIFER’s debut album, “V Is For Vagina”, came out in the fall of 2007.
TOOL has been on vacation since the end of last year, when it finished an 18-month tour in support of its 2006 album, “10,000 Days”.
Mitch Mitchell Found Dead in Portland Hotel.

KGW.com reports that THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE’s drummer Mitch Mitchell was found dead in a downtown Portland hotel Wednesday.
The Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s office said 62-year-old Mitch Mitchell likely died of natural causes. His body was found just after 3 a.m. at the Benson Hotel.
An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday.
Mitchell had been playing with the Experience Hendrix tour that just made a stop in Portland at the Schnitz last Friday.

Rob Zombie has defeated Slipknot in Band To Band Combat action. The new song is called “War Zone”. I have seen him recently on T.V. hosting one of the channels horror extravaganza’s. Nothing like having this guy host something like that. Happy Halloween Oklahoma!!!!

The Jimmy Page II “Stormtrooper” Rock Iconz figure is a fully licensed, limited edition collectible. The figure is hand-painted and numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity. This sculpture is licensed and personally approved by Jimmy Page.
The “Stormtrooper” is the second sculpture of Jimmy Page created in a limited edition by KnuckleBonz. The first figure was released in 2007 and featured Page in his white “poppy” dragon suit and violin bow held high overhead.

NINE INCH NAILS has just completed a three-week tour of South America and Mexico and is preparing to resume its North American trek on October 23 in San Antonio. Mainman Trent Reznor writes on the band’s web site, “Josh Freese [NIN's current drummer] fans, be sure to check out a show on the upcoming North American leg of the tour, as sadly they will be the last ones he’s playing with us. He informed me he’s leaving the tour at the end of this year. Yes, we are still dear friends. No, I’m not sure what we are going to do.”
NINE INCH NAILS recently announced plans to release its own branded version of the iPhone music game TapTap Revenge. The special edition of the popular game includes 16 songs from the band’s most recent albums, “The Slip” and the all-instrumental “Ghosts I - IV”. Some of the tracks have been re-edited or remixed specifically for the game. A statement from developer Tapulous added that this edition of the game will have a “special NIN look and feel.”
Trent Reznor recently asked fans to take an online survey, saying, “As we’ve moved from the familiar world of record labels and BS into the unknown world of doing everything yourself, we’ve realized it would benefit us and our ability to interact with you if we knew more about what you want, what you like, what you look like naked, etc.”
Reznor offered a video download of a live performance to everyone who completed the questionnaire, hinting at other prizes as well.
