It looks like the perfect place for Josh Jarboe to start his college football career.

     Yesterday Troy State announced that this heralded high school wide receiver was enrolling at the Alabama school. This is of course is after Bob Stoops booted him from the Oklahoma team this summer.

     Why the good fit? Troy is not a high profile program. So every move that Jarboe makes will not be examined like it would at an Ohio State, a Michigan or an Alabama. He will have some breathing room.

     And even though Troy isn’t one of the elite propgrams in the country, he will be noticed because of the schedule it plays. It goes against the big boys. Also, the offensive scheme this small  school powerruns fits his skills nicely.

     There’s no doubt Jarboe has big-time talent. He also has had big-time off the field problems. He needs to stay out of trouble. If he does then some day he might be talented enough to play in the NFL.

     Jarboe was the most talked about freshman receiver in the past Oklahoma recruiting class. The least mentioned was DeJuan Miller. Even though Miller was highly touted coming out of the New Jersey prep ranks, he didn’t get a lot of fanfare when he signed with OU.

     However, Miller has raised a lot of eyebrows this summer. He’s an excellent athlete who possesses excellent hands. He definitely needs to get bigger and stronger.

     But because of the lack of depth at receiver Miller has a chance to step in an play right away. “We knew he had a lot of talent when we signed him. But he’s even better than we thought he was going to be,” said one OU insider.
