It amazes me how dumb athletes can be at times.

     And when we are talking dumb, we are talking Joshua Jarboe.  Here’s a football player who some day might have a chance to play in the NFL. Just stay out of trouble. How hard is that?

     This is the same Jarboe who was charged with bringing a gun to his high school. He was lucky he got a second chance. Bob Stoops is good at giving people another chance.

     But when Jarboe was seen rapping about killing and guns on a video, there was little Stoops could do to save this talented wide receiver. He looked like he was indeed a loose cannon.

     What was Jarboe thinking when he made the video? He obviously wasn’t thinking clearly.

     The word is that Jarboe and some of his freshmen teammates decided to have a little fun and do the video. They were all amused at the time. No one is laughing now.

     Apparently one of his teammates that was in the video put in on ”You Tube”. That was the last thing Jarboe needed. He didn’t need the country to see him rapping about killing and guns. Not very smart.

     So the Sooners have a big gap at wide receiver. They will need someone to come up and plug the gap. Who knows if Joshua Jarboe is a bad person or not. What we do know when it comes to common sense, he certainly doesn’t have much.
